VALLEY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATION

Founded May 2007

VCS formed the VCMHF in order to tap the energy and generosity of our community in helping to improve understanding of mental illness, eliminate stigma associated with brain diseases and to raise money to support much needed services that are not able to be funded by our current funders.

Some examples of programs and services that are not reimbursable are the following:
Recreational programs, transportation to mental health services, case management for non Medicaid clients, community education, prevention and wellness activities, family support groups, incentive programs, and even basic supplies for teaching activities of daily living.

Developing the Valley Community Mental Health Foundation goes a long way in helping to raise additional funds to support the above activities and be a platform for community education and reducing the stigma of mental illness.
